Departments,
Programmes and Activities Child
Welfare Department AROH’s
Child Welfare Department is very involved in the community. With the
assistance of social workers, AROH visits neighboring homes to assess the needs
of the community’s children. Through this assessment, AROH seeks to
provide for the needs of the children. This provision includes:
sponsorship of orphans’, supporting students who attend AROH’s low cost or
free community school, providing for the basic needs of both the children and
their families, and creating in-depth profiles of each child for future
evaluation and monitoring. Women’s
Department
In
the community in which AROH serves, HIV/AIDS has impacted the lives of many
widows. Most of these women have cared for loved ones living with HIV/AIDS
and several of them have been diagnosed positive as well. Despite their
hardships, these women still have families to support. AROH’s Women’s
Department assists these widows in living as long as possible. Since many
of these widows are too weak or overwhelmed with responsibility to engage in
long hours of work, AROH provides income-generating activities.
HIV/AIDS
Awareness Department
AROH
is committed to the fight against HIV/AIDS. As part of their HIV/AIDS
Awareness Department, AROH provides HIV/AIDS sensitization for local churches,
institutions, schools, local leaders, and youth and women who are interested. Evangelism The evangelism department works hand in hand with all the departments. AROH believes in meeting both the physical and spiritual needs. |
